**'/breadcrumb/title'**, is cognisant of section and both article categories. If your article is called Wolverine and it’s in the Marvel section and categorised as X-Men and Deadpool, respectively, then your breadcrumb permlink will be:

`example.com/marvel/x-men/deadpool/wolverine`

With only one category defined (either category 1 or 2) the permlink will only contain the one category that’s assigned. And with no categories it behaves the same as '/section/title'.
